I was very excited about how we're going to be working on a film, and where we are the producers, director,etc.
My topic was education.I thought that Education would be a little complicated because in China in 1989 the students did a protest against the government and the government massacered them, but it wasn't that hard at all. My group members are Wayne and Shoba. We all worked pretty good with each other and had no dispute. I gained a lot of knowledge and skill working with the TIG staff, who were very helpful.

During this project we faced many obstacles, such as group arguements,although we overcame those obstacles. We had to write to other organizatons for some information about our topic or issue, where they sended us a lot of information.We made two display boards where we kept all our written work on it, to show the people so they can see what we have been doing so far. We did brochures on our topics so people will have some background knowledge about our issues where they can read. We also did some art work about our topic which is shown in the documentary film.We also did business cards where we put our name and phone number so they can call us if they need to.

Our TIG Festival "Globalize This" was on Thursday May 20, 2004. We had a great time, and had a wonderful experience in making a movie.We also gained a lot of knowledge and skills working with you guys, you made me realize how important our world is to us and how we must treat it and how we can still improve it.

Anytime soon my teacher is going to be giving us a test on the Takingitglobal(TIG)site.Our teacher Mrs.Macdonald, siad she is going to give a huge test. Our teacher wants to test our knowledge about the site.We are the pilot project class for TIG. Where we were filming on one of the 10 understandings because we are having a film festival. The Understanding me and my group members are filming about is Education. We were filming and editing our film for about 6 months and with the help of the TIG staff.We are working very hard on this project,so our teacher should be generous enough to give us a field trip or something very well deserving.Our teacher will probably be giving us sush as who are the members?, What do you get from this site?,etc.Thats all about this update.

Today we are learning how to make a film for Tig since we are the pilot class. Where us Gr.8 students of Macklin P.S are filming on one of the 10 understandings. Today some of the staff of Tig are coming to teach us about, movie maker ,Flash Intros,animation and how to make a film more effective and more realistic. The understanding my group is doing is education.

Stereotypes are A conventional, formulaic, and oversimplified conception, opinion, or image. One that is regarded as embodying or conforming to a set image or type. The apperance can be very frigtening. My class is doing a pilot project for TakingItGlobal (TIG), where we are filming on of the 10 understandings for TIG. The issue that my group is doing is education. In school if they're was a child interview with the teacher, and the teacher has a crazy hair style, the parents are going to think bad about the teacher. They're going to think this teacher wants to look cool and young. If they have a tattoo or pierced their ears about 10 times they're going to think this person was on drugs and is in a gang. Stereotypes is what people think about someone else which is no pure fact it is a guess. They also say never judge the book by its cover, thats the same theory for stereotypes, never judge someone by their looks.

Hey! Hows TIG? What are you interested in? I'm planning to learn a lot of information using TIG.iI am also trying to learn about other peopls culture. TIG allows me to interact wih other members in differnt countries.
